Today was an early start and the alarm woke us up but we didn't really want to get up!. We had a beautiful breakfast at the Intercontinental, I had baked eggs with smoked salmon and a side of some blue cheese and prosciutto and finished with a smoothie. We drove to the airport and waited for our plane to Queenstown. Our plane to Queenstown reminded me of the plane that I went on to King Island many years ago - it was only very small but at least I could stand up straight.

Up at 7:30 a.m. for our 8 a.m. breakfast. breakfast wasn't included so down at the restaurant we had to fill in a form for what type of breakfast we would like (continental or full hot breakfast). write down on the bottom of the form there was a section where you could take to have something special. I chose the eggs benedict and it was completely worth it! Plus it was cheaper than the continental buffet breakfast.

Today we got up early for another large drive ahead. I had a cold breakfast today of muesli and fruit as I'm getting a bit over the standard hotel breakfasts. Two members of the family have fallen ill so we had to stop by a pharmacy but none of them opened before 9am so we had to wait. Whilst we were at the pharmacy, we noticed that the front left tyre was bald.

Today was our first day with the family that we were able to have a sleep in. We were down at breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and it is obvious that we are staying at the Holiday Inn and not something more exclusive due to the kids screaming and running around the buffet breakfast! I went for foods that kids won't normally go for because it seems like the best option that wasn't sneezed on or touched.

I wish I could have a slept a little more last night but today was an exciting, jam packed day! Breakfast was chia pudding, fruit and a bagel as I wasn't feeling anything hot and oily. We piled into the van and made our way south towards Rotarua and Hamilton. Yesterday we booked in to go the Hobbiton - the set from the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit. Most of the timeslots had already been booked but we were managed to get into the 12 noon allocation.
